Study on the Effect Mechanism of Inlet Pre-Swirl on Pressure Pulsation within a Mixed-Flow Centrifugal Pump

This article explores the impact of inlet pre-swirl on pressure pulsation in a mixed-flow centrifugal pump through combination numerical simulations and experimental verification. Firstly, pump’s performance was initially determined both calculations experiments. The comparison between them indicated high accuracy method adopted this paper. Next, flow pattern within at various angles carefully compared analyzed. It found that positive impulse angle displacement could lead to circumferential inhomogeneity field impeller, while can significantly counteract effect angle. near blade will change intensity secondary impeller passage. Variations directly affect strength wake jet chamber. Then, pulsations chamber were analyzed for angles. results revealed as increased, decreased significantly. discovery sheds light influence mechanism pumps, potentially serving theoretical foundation enhancing operational stability pumps.
